“The 3rd Generation iPad has a display resolution of 264ppi. And still retains a ten-hour battery life (9 hours with wireless on). Make no mistake. That much resolution is stunning. To see it on a mainstream device like the iPad - rather than a $13,000 exotic monitor - is truly amazing, and something I’ve been waiting more than a decade to see.”—3rd Generation iPad: Entering A High-Resolution, Post-PC World…
Yes, it’s true. I’m leaving Intergen and picking up with Marker Metro, an award-winning Metro agency. With Nigel Sampson joining us too, I can confidently say that Marker Metro are officially, indisputably the best Metro design and build agency in New Zealand, and way beyond.
Windows 8, Windows Phone, you now know where to come if you want it.
To answer the obvious questions: yes, it has been a short run with Intergen, and no, it wasn’t an easy decision (just ask Keith). Intergen has been hands-down the most wonderful company I have worked for in the New Zealand IT landscape (and I’ve worked at a few). I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend it to others - both as potential customers and potential employees.
At Marker Metro, I’ll be “Metro Practice Lead”, which means continuing to do what I’ve done since before the launch of Windows Phone: build kick-ass apps for Windows.
We’ve got some great stuff in the pipeline already, so keep an eye on the website and tweets :)
